roof rack

paul and sam:
does any one know if a defender roof rack will fit a disco,or will it need to be worked to fit some one is offering me one and i need to know if i will need to do a lot of work with it or will it fit? many thanks

I believe the legs will need bending out to mate with the disco gutter.

Also check incase its one that follows the defender roofline closely, it might not fit on the rear of a disco.

Agreed, did it myself about an inch of bend on the legs, need some good gas heating gear, depending on the make of rack, mine was a galvanised square box, so the heating up made it easier

Also if you have roof bars they may have to be removed to keep the height down

did the same when i had the disco roof bars had to come off  and will just about tuch the rear sun roof  but it will fit
