Dave, i dont pay £2500 but when i was your age i was quoted that to be first insured on a vehicle. Currently i pay £225 a year but thats with a someone else insured first. And v8's arent necessarily more expensive.

Well in my name but my mum as a named driver, on a £1300 Discovery I got quoted £1900 which was alright, considing I get £1600 for a 1.3 Mitsubishi Colt!

Most interesting. I wonder exactly how much difference it makes? Armed with this info I guess you could get quotes online keeping all your details the same except the postcode.

OL2, no wonder most insurance companies want a minimum of £3500 with me as a 2nd named driver on the 2A.
But why I'm not sure, I can only think that the OL 1-9 must cover the area that was with the major riots a few years back.
