200Tdi with 300Tdi wing mirrors?

Hi all,
does anyboy know if the 300Tdi wing mirrors (rounded type) are a direct replacement for the 200Tdi (oblong type)?  Or is that pre-94 and post-94?  Mine are electric with the heated mirrors :)
Looking at the manuals for both it looks like the mountings are the same (3 bolts through door) just not sure about the wiring etc.

plugs are different on the mirrors and the holes dont line up in the doors :(

 as i found out to my expense after buying 2, 200tdi mirrors for my  3oo tdi :)
