josh 109:
will a turbo from a 2.5 series diesel fit on a 2.5 petrol series?

thanks josh

Canada Al:
you can make it fit but the engine is not strong enough to handle the extra power you would generate . you would need to play with the fuel/air mix  to get it running ( more air needs more fuel ) . Its not just a " bolt it on and it will run " job . I once made my own exhaust manofold and added a torbo to a diesel . It didn't last long but it went real well for about  50 miles .

Miniman:
Talking about turbo's I have a turbo here which if I am not mistaken Canada Al has seen in the flesh may be even worked on. It came off a 2.5TD down in birmingham UK......

Am I Correct ?

Canada Al:
Its possible , I've had my hands on one or two landrovers in my time .

Miniman:
Did you not once live here in the UK down in Birmingham. If not then I have the wrong person. I was given a Turbo off a 90 from down birmingham which was pulled to bits and sold for parts on Ebay. He was a mate of yours if I am right. Has a V8 Gas range rover.
