Bush Tucker Man:
The mother-in-law is wanting a new car.
At the moment she's using our 'spare' (the Fabia)

Even though she's 'knocking on' (still a few years on the lower side of 60) she wants a 'Sports Car' :?  (as she puts it)
I reckon something in the Renault Kangoo genre ( the forthcoming similar Skoda perhaps?) would be better for her?

She's seen
Mazda MX-5
Volvo C-70 (the convertible)
Hyundai Coupe

Father-in-law has plans for a Stag, or MGB instead

My suggestion was (of course) something built in Blackpool

But absolutely scariest of all, she like those B*W z-cars :(scared):
How do I talk her out of one of those things???? (apart from showing her th price)

I'll have to simply tell her they're only 2-seaters (she reiterates that she needs 4)

Evilgoat:
Audi Cabroilet

Pick up a nice 2.8 V6 for a reasonable price, and its still a reasonably sensible car.

BTW the Kangoo is a van ;)

Just tell your father-in-law to go out and buy a Stag without consulting mother-in-law and worry about the consequencies after the event  . Thats what I do - just turn up in a 'newer' car and SWMBO can either like it or lump it

clbarclay:
If she wants something new and sporty (for sensible money) how about one of these.

Best bit is that there out of the same mould as the lotus severns, so should appeal to the father-in-law as well.

However acess is not the best     , so you might end up having to drive it instead

Bishops Finger:
What about a Saab turbo?
