--- Quote from: "bambamjj" ---What is the effect of leaving of the Steering counter weight off?
1 i have taken mine off and cant remember how it goes back on
2 it does not fit now i have the slider diff guards on if it goes on the way i think it does

They have something to do with anti vibrations.......if it helps.........i took mine off both the 200 and 300 disco's with no bad effects.
thermidorthelobster:
Try without, if it's all vibration free then you don't need it.
Mine went back on with the diff guards with a little fiddling, but it wasn't totally obvious. I guess it depends on the design of the guard.
TimM:
Ignorant question time:
Are we talking here about the steering damper?
Mine is shot (big hole in it so lost all fluid), and I have vibration - is fitting a new damper likely to cure it, or are we talking here about something different?
