Nope, out with the old, in with the new, job done and no more oil running down your arm, (or anywhere else).  :wink:  :)

anyone put one on a TD5?  Only reason I ask is that the drain is on the bottom of the sump, unlike the 200TDi Disco which was on the side IIRC. How easy are they to snap off?    :shock:

I was thinking exactly the same question, for the V8, where the drain is at the side but very low.

Count yourself lucky you don't have a Disco 2 axle - the fill plugs are made of plastic, so you try to get one off and they just disintegrate.  Whoever at LR specified a plastic fill plug needs a good kicking!  I spent an hour at the side of the road in Scotland trying to get the bloody thing off when all the oil peed out the breather tube.

WHITWORTH as the are no use for anything else
