Topless!

Not what you all think   Now the spring time is creeping up and eventually summer, I really want to take the roof off! Is it just a case of un-doing all the bolts along the front of the screen and the ones attaching it to the rear tub then lifting it straight off? How about attaching a truckcab, do you have to do many modifications to do so...

Cheers Matt :?:

I use to do it when I had a S3. As you say it just bolts and lifts off. I use to put a softtop on for the summer and the hard top for the winter.

It's easy enough - especially if you leave the top complete.  I took mine off on my own, but a second pair of hands makes it easier. Ditto putting it back on.

Storage is a pain though - I took the sides off so it took up less room.

But yes - undo the bolts across the screen, two or three down each side and a couple at the back.  (Take the rear door off first!)

I then inched the whole lot backwards until iI could let it tip down onto the drive - it's not heavy, just bloody big and awkward.

I've just realised that my avatar shows it laying on its back on the front lawn!  That was when I took it off - SWMBO didn't  think that was the best place to keep it though....

I must admit a series just looks soo really amazing with just the screen up and nothing else. So much a two mates of mine hope to go laning in the summer completely topless. Should give the grockels somethig to look at.    When i took mine for her for an MOT after i had finished the rebuild i didn't have the HT on either, what was worrying was the amount of chavs cheering and giving me the thumbs up!    But then a landy is the coolest vehicle ever!
