the cv should be lubed by the one shot grease or oil in the swivels i believe

Turn the wheel so you can see the brake pad's in the calipers and try rotating the wheel then  :wink:

thanks guys....just been out and taken out the drain bolt on the front right hub..... :shock:  :shock:  bone dry. hardly a drop came out  :shock:  :shock: .....guess i made a mistake when i belived the last owner when he said all oils have been changed  :shock: . i have just filled it with nice sweet smelling ep90....( man that stuff stinks  :lol: ). i drained the other side aswell which had a tad more oil in it and refilled it too. seems to have made an instant difference now. the steering is smoother and no more crackes when accelerating.......sounds and feels loads better. going to take her for run down the motorway later but i have the feeling i may have found the source of my mystery rumble  :D  :D  :D


i will let you know abit later.....
