David Bellamy attacks 4x4s
Hector:
Quote
"Off-roaders driven along Britain's ancient byways makes me see red. They help to destroy the peace of our countryside, and in some of the most ecologically delicate areas, paths have been turned into mud baths. Off-roaders may argue that they only use a small percentage of tracks and that walker should live and let live, but the wild bits of Britain should be spared the infernal combustion engine - if the off roaders want to enjoy the countryside they should walk, .............

All those who perambulate should also be banned from all areas of wild land Esp the national parks and area's of downland. The use by foot over such areas also causes high amounts of erosion, and looking at the likes of ben nevis, scafel pike, and many over honey pot tourist sites shows just how eroded the nations paths are.
blackbob:

Wanderer:
Is that buffoon still at it.
I resigned from the C and CC due to them giving him a platform in their mags a few years ago especially because he was alienating half of the caravanning fraternity that use 4x4 vehicles.
He's a joke. We have some lanes in Notts that have SSI (Sites of Scientific Interest) next to the lane. One goes through the site. 4x4's don't stop there but many a walker can be seen picking the flowers.
Idiots. Great big signs saying PLEASE DO NOT WALK IN THIS AREA OR PICK THE FLOWERS.
Amazing.
