T MAX winches

<< < (2/2)

drum:
As stated mine is a T-Max, you're more than welcome to have nosey next time you're about. The first time I took mine swimming, it got lots of gunk into the motor, (But as you know my idea of swimming isn't what most people do   ) When I cleaned it out, and rebuilt it, it went back together with Silicone Sealant, and has been fine since. I have spoken to someone that suggests that the newer ones are better waterproofed.

Eeyore:
Just to take a sideways look at the subject, one thing to maybe consider before parting with your hard-earned is service and spares.

I've heard of a number of cases where, for want of a part, the winch was lost. Okay, we don't expect these things to break, but when they do, is there sufficient back-up available to affect a timely and/or cost effective repair?

Just a question to ask your potential suppliers

cheers

rollazuki:
My thoughts exactly Eeyore, well worth an extra couple of big uns to ensure a spares service

Topple:
At Paidia 4x4 we have a direct line back to the factory and hold stock of spares in the UK to provide a high level of support.

Spares can usually be turned around next day.
