I applaud it as a concept.  Uses an established well-liked platform to create a useable, practical, modern, but silly car!

As a marketing exercise - spot on, bit like the BMW mini.  I don't want one, but if I had to have a Mini or a Beetle then I might be tempted by the modern cars! :wink:

I wouldn't have either... I'd take the 150bhp Diesel Golf :D

But I think VW did alright with the beetle, I'd take it over a Mini anyday...
