Out of curiosity I want to alter the colour of an image of a 90 in my albums to another colour, how easy it is to do with the standard issue 'Paint', or 'Irfan-View'?

It is easier with Photoshop or elements. In paint, you have to outline each section and fill with colour. Problem is you lose any detail. In Photoshop, you can do this using layers

or select colour range and then use the histogram (I think its called)
