radiator cover

I am going off roading tomorrow and I would like to try and keep my rad as clean as poss.

I have managed to aquire some material that is heavy duty plastic and has tiny holes in abit like a royal mail grey sack (but it isnt a sack that I have   )

I was wondering if I was to cable tie this onto the grill would it over heat my engine as it does have tiny holes in it to allow some air through but hopefully thick claggy clay and muddy water!

Has anyone got any thoughts about it?

Put it on when you get there and you'll have no problems. It won't overheat on tickover and slow speeds. It will certainly restrict the airflow whilst moving, i.e over 30 mph.
