Td5 & Bio-Diesel?

(1/3) > >>

Bush Tucker Man:
A workable & reliable combination?

Admittedly there's not that many stockists near me, but on occassions I venture towards York & there's a supplier at the side of the A64

I'd filled the Discovery up a few times there when passing, but when I've passed I don't think I've ever seen a Td5 (Defender, or, Discovery) in there - it maybe just the timing, but.........

Are there any issues with the Electronic injectors (& pump?) on a Td5 that inhibits useage of Bio-Diesel?????
If I perhaps operate at a 50 - 50 mix with regular pump diesel?

As I'm going that way next Wednesday & it's a fair bit cheaper

beast5680:
well i dont know if there are any issues but we have a customer who says he uses it all the time in his td5 disco :?

Jimbo:
There's a producer local to me, so far everyone I've asked reckons that it shouldn't cause any problems in a Td5

Anyone in the trade (Mikee where are you) care to comment ?

Jim

Hightower:
Strange.  I'm sure I read somewhere not to use bio in a TD5.

I'll try and find the article again . . . . . . . .

ChrisW:
It's a bit of a mixed bad according to google and 'td5 biodiesel'
There appears to be some talk of invalidating LR warranty if it is used  :?
