Anything that helps avoid the Lancaster one-way is useful.
It's a nightmare, sometimes I come across via the A683 through Caton & Hornby, then you enter Lancaster under the M6 & queue all the way (leaving A65 just north-west of Ingleton)

So most times when I come over, I tend to travel up the A65 as far as Kirkby Lonsdale & come into Carnforth - through Whittington & Arkholme (I still miss SteamTown :cry: )

I think I've been through at some point :?
Last time I was in that particular patch was when we stopped over at Silverdales in October 2004 at Holgates Caravan Site 'Morecambe; The Return'

My grandad used to work out of Silverdale Quarry till they shut it down, it was really unique as the only way in was over the railway line.

If you ever find yourself around this area again, just say something and I may be able dig something up.
