Aaaaargh dilemma......
evang:
A reasonably well prepared Disco will go 9 places out of 10 a ninety will go. I have drove 90 and 110's for over ten years and recently swapped a 200 tdi ninety for a 300tdi disco. In the disco you can hear your self speak on the motor way, more driver seat space, and the interior heater does what it says on the tin. For starters
A van ninety is a great second vehicle. but as a first car with kids and a wifey. No long journeys!!!!
IMHO I would stick with a disco and read the threads on this site regarding lifts, props, winches etc before parting with cash!!!
If you get a standard ninety you still be buying the same offroad bits, bigger wheels winches etc as for a disco.
You will pay top money for a decent ninety and remember as with all LR's for the first six months you will be putting right bits that the seller forgot to mentioned where knacked. Because sellers say there vehicle is the BEST, buyer beware!!!!
Cheers
If you go for the ninety go over it with a fine tooth comb checking especally the T/Box.

Keep what you've got in my opinion. More basic than the 300tdi less to go wrong :?: The 90 will be great if all you want it for is off roading but the disco you have is just as capable. Spend the money on that and get the bits you want rather than spend your money on something else and have no money left to upgrade or new toys :) :)
At the end of the day what do YOU want :!: :!:

Well I've thought long and hard, and also started to do a bit of a mini service on the truck!!
I'm keeping what I've got. 8)
Cheers for the replies.
Now where is that Scorpion/Bearmach/Devon4x4 list of toys that I want??

Disco does all that too!!!
I'm a die hard 90 fan but to be honest you have to love them before they seem a better idea than a disco. The disco is all round the better motor for everything, except the one obvious. And then there's not *that* much of an advantage to be had (they are the "same" motor when you look underneath).
In fact for working out the back of, the 90's crap. The rear door is pathetic and the shape of the tub is rubbish nothing stays put on the arches and ends up in a heap in the middle. The disco door is the size of russia and the boots nice and square if a bit small. I have worked out the back of both of mine, can't even get the tool box into the 90 without turning it through 90 degrees.
Having said all that, the 90 puts a grin on my face that no other motor ever could and that's before I get it off the drive!!
