Drum Brakes

Having rebuilt the brakes I come to put the drum back on. Put in the new brake drum screw and it doesn't fit!! Goes in the hole but won't screw into the hub. as this is the only screw listed in the parts book, anyone got any thoughts on why it doesn't fit??

Alternatively how do you convert to discs at the back?

I was wondering if the wheel would hold it on OK. I'll try it although a bloke from Nottingham has offered me a 24 spline diff and disc brakes for £150. Needs discs and pads. Good deal or not do you think? Might pop over to the LRM thing at Gaydon on Monday and see what people have.

Will be up and running soon. Have to keep stopping for rain!!

Just sent him an e-mail so we'll see what it's like :D . Not too far to Nottingham :) . Just hope I can get it in the back of the Honda :?  :? !

Got Tixover on tomorrow :D  :D  :D  then off to Gaydon :D  (you going :?: ) so it'll be next weekend before I can go and have a look :(  :( .
