FTAO - BTM - Missed opportunity!
thermidorthelobster:
I saw several cars of this ilk in Damascus, of all places. If anybody's after one, it might be worth a trip across, with a suitcase full of Syrian Pounds...
Bush Tucker Man:
"Possum On A Gum-Bush!!"
That is one sweet motor, but longer than a 110.
Still, they'll outperform a Porch 928S, and are better than people think on the bendy bits
And it's a 'Magnum' :D :D :D (not quite as desirable as a 426 'Hemi' though)
The GTX would be even nicer as a tin-top, the white Mustang is tasty, as are the Bel-Air & 300E
V8MoneyPit:
By shear coincidence, I have just had a customer in who told me he owned a '68 Charger  It is a 440, but not the R/T. Still very nice though. He was telling me about the culture shock between the Dodge and his daughters Mini

I think I ought to explain for some readers, the 'Magnum' nickname refers as some will know to the engine capacity - not the need for a Tom Sellick moustache
It's an analogy of the famous Clint Eastwood/ 'Dirty Harry' handgun, which was a ......................... Magnum .44
440cubic inch (7210cc), hence ...................... 'Magnum'

The Surgical Registrar who owns this Sagaris also owns (winter car??) a 'K' plated Mini. I wonder how much differance he notices??
V8MoneyPit:
Well, I suspect the Mini gets through the country lanes quicker!! Especially in the winter. The TVR, if I understand correctly, can be a bit of a handful.
We have just bought a 1990 Rover Cooper. It is a bit of a dog, but has 3 months MOT and tax. So I'm using it at the moment before it's taken off the road for a rebuild. It's years since I drove one regularly and I'd forgotten what a hoot they are to drive. The first night I drove it home, I can honestly say I didn't stop laughing all the way  It is probably fair to say it brings out the hooligan in me  You just don't slow down for bends or roundabouts
