Firefox lost all my bookmarks?

hi,

for some reason firefox just closed on me and some funny box came up and now its lost all my bookmarks,

does any one know why this has happened and of there is a way of getting them all back?

I know if you go DEEEEP into FF's files there is a file as a back up, which holds for 5 Days.

i allways save my bookmarks as fire fox has done this to me before.

lost all mine to never did find them but at least it cleared out the crap

ive lost mine about 7 times now over the last year or so. but going back to ie is a no go after enjoying the speed of firefox  :wink:
