MOT question
beast5680:
I know that now the Mot,s are recorded online etc Dvla know exactly who,s failed and who,s passed etc which is no bad thing, But a man told me today that soon the filth will be notified as well so they can flag up cars with no mot and nick them, also no bad thing for the dodgy people who dont have one now for the question
I asked if my mot was due in march and i got tested in feb and it failed in my mind i have a month to sort it before the mot runs out but he was saying that rumour has it dvla will flag it as failed leaving me open to prosecution by the old bill if i still drive it around
can anyone shed any light on this?
Jas278:
I think the old bill actually get the info on there computer before DVLA...
thumbs:
its still legally got an mot till march and you have got a certificate, thats how i would understand it anyway. will investigate further, neighbours a traffic cop, mates an mot tester :D
beast5680:
thats what i would have said but you never know with this government
datalas:
there is an *unless* here, the MOT is still valid provided that the reason for failure wasn't listed as a safety issue.
If so, the old MOT will be invalidated.
