how to change a clutch....?

transmission jack.. hmmm I could write it on the side of the trolley jack!  :D   Whilst it would be nice I really cant justify the money - having changed, erm... one gearbox in my entire life I'm not sure it would be a good return (although that's changing to two in two weeks shortly!)

as far as I can tell all you need is a box section box as it were (the corner posts stop it rolling off.  If I put a nice locating pin in the middle it should sit in place of the normal saddle..cant think how to make it tilt though.

Small bottle jack on one end

thats a good idea!  If I make the pin slightly too small then teh bottle jack will easily be able to move it a few degrees in which ever plane is needed :-)
