200tdi fuel economy

Bill jones:

--- Quote from: "disco 200" ---Just had a look in the handbook. Tank capacity is 88.6 litres or 19.5 gallons. It says the light comes on when you've got 9 litres left in the tank. You will be able to calculate mpg if you run from a full tank to when the light comes on from that.

Are looking at a 300 TDI handbook as they have a bigger fuel tank :?: mine publication No SJR 820 EN HB 92 says 81.8 litres (18 gallons) and I can never get more than 70 litres in when it reaches the fuel light with out over filling.

disco 200:
No, it's the plastic covered forecourt data sheet in the front of the handbook. It's a 1989 publication.
Not sure why that's different to yours?

Thrasher:
Er....my 4.4 Range Rover can do 400-500 (depends on right foot) to a tank and it only has a 100ish litre tank. Are you guys SURE that you have diesels???

Normally put between £65 and £80 in there....
