How can you tell its a 300tdi from my avatar?

And what would I gain by disconnecting the EGR valve?

I'm new to all this...

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation system at low revs vents the exhaust gases back into the inled chamber to reduce emissions, so your engine is re-burning hot air....... NOT GOOD!

People claim better fuel economy, and more power....... it's an easy job, give it a go  :wink:
