Spot lights for Hannibal roof rack
Ollie:
Helloooo,
I'm after a pair of, well, probably four spots to mount on my Hannibal roof rack. Is there a kit available to do this, ie mounting brackets? Where have people routed the wiring, and where have they plumbed it in?
What's the best spot light for yer money
Cheers in advance,
Ollie

Ollie - I got 4 eye shaped lights from one of the shows at £7 a pair, not sure of the make but they light up the road a treat and the bonnet. With the chequer plate on the bonnet the reflection can be a bit dazzeling at times, you get some strange looks when wearing sunglasses at night :D
I ran the wires down the side of the snorkel and into the engine bay just under the bonnet, the relay and fuse/s etc are mounted inside the engine bay on the bulkhead and wires are then run in to the rear of the dashboard onto a switch. I took the live from the rear of the starter motor. I also have them linked to the sidelights so they will only work when the sidelights are on. I was told (not sure if true or not) that it was an legal requirement for this country. (Maybe someone can comment if this is the case). I also have the rear working lamp wired into a relay in the same place, but the wires come in via the back door and along the headlining along with the CB cable, then down the door piller.
Your welcome to have a look as to how I did it.

Fortgot to mention the lights came with mounting brackets.
Heres a pic of Turtle displaying the lights.

Ive found these WIPAC spots, the dogs. They do draw a few amps though. I routed the wiring down the back of the cab, and through a grommet.
Ollie:
