are they easy to fit because when my dad did it to the discovery it was a pain to get the springs in

They aren't too difficult to fit. A mate of mine did his by lifting the rear / front end on a vehicle lift & it only took him an hour or so. I put mine on when the chassis was changed so I suppose thats cheating.
