timberdog:
Has anyone compleatly Chequer plated the Cab front floor area and compleate Tub Floor ??

If so has anyone got any Tips on bests way to fit and what Tools are needed  and also any good links to buy Chequer plate or would it be cheaper to go to a  Manifactor for it and Cut to size so to speak..

I am doing this i suppose for looks but more important for me i Do loads of Shooting and Hawking with all Three Working dogs and by the time you have been out for the Day when you do get round to scapping the Mud off the Interia its a Pain in the Arse were as Chequer plating fitted its Brush Out and wash!!

Ideas welcome?????????????

LandRoger:
I did exactly what you propose to do and regretted it and have since fitted out the rear with 6mm ply, i am a pest controller and under keeper carry 3 spaniels and know exactly what you mean , the chequer plate i fitted was laid on a silocon bead to stop rattles when rivetts work loose -but i found that such a large area of alloy caused lots of condensation and it allways felt cold, when carrying metal objects i had to cushion them because of the rattles and bangs, its only advantage was its easy to clean, dont think the dogs liked it much not much grip for them when braking and not very comforting after a long day in the cold, just my thoughts,

Deb:
What do you have down at the minute, cos I just have the rubber load liner and rubber matting in the front footwells.  Also having 3 dogs it gets in a hell of a state after winter walks and I just brush and wash it out with no problems.

timberdog:
I  have a plastic load liner which is good but the seats being cloth they aint gonna last long at this rate!!
what i thought was Chequer plate the rear and then pu the plastic load liner on Top?

The front again when you have been Laning and in and out of the Landy it looks like Cake city and again with Chequer its wash with Soapy water and hoover etc Job Done..The only thing i wante to do as well in the front is i am told you can buy a three section solid rubber matt instead of carpets???

Were is the best place to buy the chequer so i can cut to size front and back???

Also thought of removing the carpet at the rear of the seats in the back as they get mucked up as well..It ok i Love Mud but i have a problem as well i am a clean freak so i was thinking of ease really with Chequer ??
