how about cutting and tapping the gearstick below floorpan level and removing the gearstick? Could even have a screw on plate with a padlock too then...... Back it up to a wall and lock it in reverse....

Move the battery into a secure box and isolate it (In the boot?). One more thing they have to break into.... Same with the other "Important" bits under the bonnet....

I got one of them.  The only security used she'd be is that she may drown them in the "lick them to death" attempt.....
