engine details changed from petrol to deisel

mates bought rangie with diesel engine but log book says petrol
when he informs dvla will they ask for engineers report

they probally wont but the insurance company will just take it to any good diesel garage or l/r specilist  got report done by alldrive in swadlincote only cost £10 and insurance was happy with it.
