Fan and Rad on v8
(1/1)
:
On my way back from Toms farm two weeks ago, the bearings went on the fan housing which made the fan loose tacking out the radiator.
I am sticking a new rad on but wanted to stick Kenlow twin fans on but have never done this type of work
Are the kenlow fans any good when going through mud?
How do they fit on to the radiator
My range rover has had a 5l v8 fitted, this was a little high and the old fan had to be reduced in diameter as it would hit the bonnet when closed, I am just worried I will not get enough air through to keep cool
Any advice appreciated.
jiffyman:
Kenlows shift LOADS of air so shouldn't be a problem.
They also come in various sizes so you should be able to find one (or two in your case) that fits!
As for the working in mud issue, that should be ok too, as long as you have a switch to cut them off when fording water otherwise EVERYTHING gets wet!

I've got twin kenlows on mine.
work great, they cut in and out automatically you can over ride them and turn them on manualy if you want to.
Ive never had it get too hot.
Range Rover Blues:
If you don't have airconn you can stick them in front of the rad to give you extra space. Our are fastened with things that look like tie wraps to the fins of the rad itself, that's the proper Kenlowe fitting kit.
