Best way to stop the 90 being nicked?
Stormin:
I have one of those Big Un's. Bar down through steering wheel to floor and clamped to clutch pedal. Bit fiddly but Thatcham approved. May do same as the hybrid as well. Removable transfer lever. Fuel cut off switch sounds good, but Hilti gun is my favorite. Sweet meats anyone? :?

wire the vehicle to mains when not in use, then if you do electrocute some one tying to nick it, and the plod turn up just blame it on the old girls wireing..he he he........
cheers

You really can't beat some sort of valve in the fuel line, solenoid controlled from an obscure switch. No matter what the thieves do they will only drive a short distance. If they really want the vehicle of course you will never stop them but this does it for me.
I of course have the ultimate security on my hybrid which I am not about to disclose on an open forum. Anyone on this forum played my "start my lightweight" game? It has given me a lot of laughs in the past as even when I show folk how to start it most of them still can't. Lets just say that the system is such that even I can't start it if I am wearing gloves.

I had a Disc-Lok on the 110Tdi & 90 V8-CSW.
When I sold them, it was bought by (I think?) Ben kentzer(?)& I got a smaller one for the Discovery as it was too big
And what now?, it's too small for the Defender
Typical

After reading this lot, I'd believe that Landy's actually start!!!!
Okay, let a little air into the diseasal line... beast will start, but stop about a hundred yards up the road and be a b*tch to re-start.... Bit of a PITA other times though....
Run the exhaust into the beast with a manual flap... beast will start... but one very ill thief.....
Or even a very loud siren that, unless you hold a button down as you start it, it starts and doesn't stop, Just don't forget to push the button as you leave at 2am in the morning.
And finally, may sound daft... but put a button on the dash with "Don't push me" on it. wire that up to something nasty... it'll be the first button they try when it won't start...
