Best way to stop the 90 being nicked?

What about this one then to stall the wouldbe thieves... it will only work on diesels tho

find the wire that goes to the stop-solenoid. This is probably easiest inside the vehicle.
Cut it and run it through a switch somewhere convenient yet not too obvious.

The simple 'immobiliser' when activated would not allow the user to start it, even if they knew how to bypass the steering switch...

It is totally non-standard, thereby leaving them scratching their heads trying to get into yours to work out what you've done.......

Easy, Cheap, and as good a delay as anything you could buy I reckon.

I disconnect the plug under the bonnett but that will only stall the lowest form of Muppet.

In theory....

But....

If I was to pinch a Na, Td, 200 or 300Tdi it wouldn't matter...

All I would do is open the door, break the steering lock with a bar through the wheel, then pop the bonnet and put a 12V to the fuel solenoid and touch a 12v feed to the starter solenoid... engine now running and driveable.

Looking around various salvage yards this seems quite a favortie method.

However....
The other option would be to screw a slide hammer into the igntion barrell, snap the barrell out... which will take the steering lock off and allow you to start the engine and drive away... in this case your method would work, but only long enough for the theif to realise what you've done.

So would possibly work, or possibly not depending on the thiefs methods.
