I need some gearbox help!!

No, but thanks for the suggestion, I had it checked out and have been advised that it's definitely a gearbox problem. It's just amplified when in low range under stress but if left unchecked will eventually spread to all circumstances of use. I can see where you are coming from,  I'd be really naffed off if I replaced the box and it turned out to be the transfer box  :oops:

Thanks to all for your responses. I've got a few leads to follow up on which is further along than I was yesterday.  :D

I'd go with Ashcroft.  He'll send you a box, and then you can send yours back  so you don't have the vehicle sitting around with no box for days at a time.
