TDi conversion compleat
MTyrrell:
I got my cast removed last Tuesday, after breaking my arm a few days before ww2.
I finally got around t taking the 110 for it's first run after the TDi conversion today.
What a difference! Even now having PAS makes it easier to drive, nearly put in a headg not being used to it.
The only headache was the pipe work for the turbo and inter cooler.
I still need to change the fuel filter housing for a TDi one as soon as i can find one, Land Rover want £70 for one :( and paddocks don't do em. The TDi doesn't link back to the filer from the injectors like the TD, i have blocked the extra pipe for the time being but it isn't safe as it drip's diesel on to the block after running for a bit.
timberdog:
Well done matey..
I had this problem matey i manged to get one from a breakers £10.00!
Pipe works fun aint it...?
Engines a world apart aint it
stefan:
I was lucky, I managed to pick up a complete Bosch filter housing and filter for £15 brand new, boxed at the LRO show at Malvern!
The Tdi difference is amazing isn't it, especially in my case replacing the old 2.5 petrol!!
Now got about 4,000 miles under it's belt since converting.
