TD5 and water..?

I notice that a few folk have TD5 Defenders here and wondered what their experience of them in water was.

I'm think of swapping my TDi300 for a TD5 but have started to get worried that all the electronics in the TD5 might mean it isn't as good for mud-plugging and wading as the TDi.

What do you guys think..?
