LANDYTIM:
ahhh thanks for that, looks like a fun kind of job!!

can anyone recomend where to get a reasonably priced rear stub axle fir a 1986 90?

Also where on earth can i get a 52mm hub nut spanner, I can't find them anywhere!!

Cheers,
Tim.

drmike:
Any decent LR supplier will do both - you could even use Paddocks or Craddocks I suppose.

The spanner is about £6 and I think the stub axle is about £40 but you'll need some other bits and bobs as well so it'l add up to more I fear.

I dont like the sound of that!

No expense spared though!

The guy who had her before me didnt like to spend money on upkeep, he only liked to buy mods! Since I have had her I have tried to be good and make her good as a truck again. i am trying to be good and not buy mods but do work to keep her running for years to come!  :D

Did anyone else find the previous owners of their LR's were quick to buy mods but alot slower to carry out proper repair work??  :x

Does anyone also know where I may be able to swap my truck back and roof for a hard back roof and sides??  :?:

Cheers
Tim

I think you'll find a truck cab is worth a good deal more than a hard top. Personally I like truck cabs. They warm up quicker and the visibility is excellent.
