Fitting jackable sills
matthew:
I wouldn't have powder coated. The very nature of sill protectors is that they are likely to take impacts and get scratched. Once powder coating gets a scratch all the way through it it allows water in and rust starts, then the remaining powder coat will bubble up. Just think about the number of people who complain about the powder coating on bullbars and wheel carriers.

Ollie,
I have that problem with being a short arse, but i put it down the the fact that I'm such a nice person my feet loves my backside and they like being close to each other :D :D

HiFonics:
I bought a pair of galvanised bearmach steps off ebay for £60 which I thought was good.
the bearmach sill slides up the rear outrigger and just uses the 1 19mm bolt at the front to fasten it. I would advice whatever you do soak all the bolts that are on there now with WD40. Next job for mine is a coat of smoothrite.
Cheers,
Ben

Hifonics - like the Wolf airintake, well mean - tell me all about it as from looking at it I cant work out how they work, or what their benefits are (apart from looking good)
HiFonics:
The OE Landrover fold down steps still fit on with the bearmach sills like I have. I just take them off when I am doing anything exciting. I have now given them a coat of hammerite special metal primer and a couple coats of smoothrite and it has made them look nice.
I dont know what extra features the Wolf Air Intake brings to the party other than looks. Mine will find its way onto ebay at some point when I fit a snorkel.
Cheers,
Ben
