Why are you wanting split charge?
They look ok but how much ampage can they deal with? Its no use if they are intended to be used as part of a trickle charge system as they will fry the minute the altenator kicks in. If you are wanting to use the second battery for a winch you need to isolate any charge system from this as they can draw very large ampages.

Just looking to have a back up battery in the car, for maybe camping needs in the future but also to run additonal spots, working lamps.  doubt i will ever be fortunate enough to fit a Winch.

I run one of these onto a leisure battery, running off this a 240V converter and 8” tv screen so the lad can watch movies and play PS2. but not used for anything bigger. oh and the 12v cool box.
