its what used to be thought of as surgical appliances.
range from hospital/orthopaedic footwear, insoles for almost anything and can get to the very serious looking halo ring and vests (the ones like daniel beddingfield had to wear for ages) to immobilise the neck.
great aye!

I'm a toolmaker by trade.  Injection moulds, jigs and fixtures and press tools.  Drifted into special purpose machinery in my early 20's and spent 20yrs traveling this green and pleasant land. (When it was).  Now work as a maintenance engineer (chargehand) for paper manufacturer.  Also part time digger driver, fencer, paver and anything else.  Looking forward to retirement if Blair will let me.

Well from the look of the poll so far truckers ain't winning but the nerd's are even lower down the heap

So It looks like us "Doing something totally different" gang are in the lead then  :D

We mend broken buildings, believe me if you think you can break a LandRover that's the tip of the iceberg compared to mother nature .........  or a truck running into your house .............  etc

When you go to a 2 storey Terrace house with a basement and attic, find a hairline crack in the basement................

gets a bit wider as you look up .......................

Then you go into the attic and can walk through to next door ........

By comparison a stuck diff lock switch isn't a big problem  :)

But it makes life interesting  :!:

In this particular case sticky backed plastic and string wasn't quite enough

I've worked in comms for the last 19 years for a well-known comms company (not BT !), covered all sorts of radio, fibre, PDH, SDH, modems, bridges, routers, switches.

Would love to get out of the industry and do something else, but I reckon a certain little incident in Hemel will keep me occupied for the next few months !!!!
