Following on from my London Buses thread I was just reading the paper and found this:

Being a londoner (well, just about, just moved out a few weeks ago but still living there) is makes you a little mad when no-one wants these buses to go.  A recent poll found that 91% of routemaster uses didnt want to loose this tyrpe of bus and have it replaced with a bendy bus or double decker.

In 2001 Mayor Ken stated "only a ghastly dehumanised moron would want to get rid of the Routemaster".

Strange that, I think Kens just described him self perfectly

Wouldn't it be tragic if he got run over by a bus?  I generally think I'm a fairly tolerant person, but Ken does push the boundaries at times.
