I was on my way home from work Monday evening at about 7.00 pm in the dark. The car behind me had a blown lamp on the driver's side and had his Front fog/driving lights on to compensate I imagine.
Well the ****** kept putting his main beam on when there were no cars coming towards us and then dipping the moment one did.
I was having a constant barrage of 'floodlights' for nearly 6 miles until I started having a headache and my patience ran out. It was only after driving for a further 2 miles with MY rear fogs on and resting my left foot on the brake peddle to trigger the light switch did he realize he was causing a problem. He kept his only dipped headlight on with no fogs and slowed down until he was 600 - 700 yards behind and then went back to having his fogs or the main beam on again.
As long as he could see then to hell with other road users. :x
If it wasn't for the fact that I was nearly home I would have pulled over to let him pass and drive up his bumper with my main beam on

I ride with lights on even in summer now, bikes are hard enough for some people to see as it is, been knocked off enough times even with HI-VIZ/lights on,they still cant see ya.
In Germany you have to carry a spare set of bulbs by law, so no excuse for driving with defective lights.
On a recent run up the M11 in my truck, a car pulled onto M11 from Stansted, Indicator flashing.......Indicator still flashing in the distance when we got to Cambridge.
