problem on the way home
Wanderer:
Often forgoten is the fuel sedimenter bowl under the o/s rear wheel arch on the inside of the chassis. It could be restricting fuel flow.
Is the tickover erratic while stationary?
If it is then it may be the springs in the injector pump. I had that earlier this year.

Very nice looking motor, i was heading in the opposite direction, but in a passat. Puts mine to shame.
