Power

Spooky:
I agree - Got to go Nuke! Zero emissions and no noise. The only snag is what to do with the spent material!!

Those wind turbines do have a part to play, yes, but not on the scale that we require as a Nation.

I see that Greenpeace were at it again today - breaking the law and getting away with it (H&S legislation this time)!!

hobbit:
If they like wind power so much, its to be expected they are full of it. But let them pedal for power then

dazzawhipple:
Nuclear is the way to go........................it will keep me in work for a few years (work on a nuclear fusion reactor, a newer cleaner process)

datalas:
What's wrong with wind turbines ?  they look cool...

Besides, you can always run them in reverse and make it kite flying weather.

Ideally Wind / Tidal power is where we should be aiming, but a distinct lack of investment has sent that one for a burton, at least sufficiently so that it cannot even dream of meeting our immediate requirements.

Then again, it's just something else to be blamed on us I guess :(

ian_s:
nuclear power is definately the way forward.
the waste material is a problem, but is it worse than the soot and greenhouse gases that come out of a fossil fuel power station?
