Whilst I think it would be difficult to find one song we ALL like- I just don't want any of Simon Cowell's c**p to be Xmas No.1- besides- JCB song aint that bad is it?

I jsut went and bought the single, its far far better than most of the other garbage that gets played. Don't get me wrong, its not like my number one song ever, but for a contermporary single it stands out above the rest.

A wise, well considered and balanced assesment and generally quite revealing that most of contemporary music is quite pants.

When compared to Will Young, Coldplay, James Blunt etc the JCB song stands out by a mile as something special. I do quite like KT Tunstall and Katie Mellua though...and the new Oasis is not bad.
I still have my favorites that are either really underground stuff or were made years ago...I am not much of a follower of the charts, but we have radio 2 on all day at work. In fact they played (half of) the JCB song today.
