Disco body lift questions

(1/2) > >>

beast5680:
Having read with interest the body lift thread on the rangie forum i cant see any reason why a disco is different but, having looked at mine with a view to lifting the body it would seem to me that the front grill and the bumper will have an unsightly gap appear when the body is lifted and similar on the rear bumper.
Has anyone done a body lift on a disco and if so how did it go? and were any problems different from a rangie lift

seph234:
mine has an inch body lift and i need to sort the gap yet but i have seen a disco with a 2" lift and he had welded box section on top of the chassis rails and then redrilled the winch bumper mounts to bring it back up with the body.  joe

DJ's disco should be a monster when its finished. That has a 2inch lift i think. I like the idea but cant see why you'd want the hassel unless you are doing a complete rebulid.
