Snow- before volunteering to tow someone....
s.stirley:
.. or common sense :) that much snow must have weighed over 2 tonnes !
MuddyMike:
The safest way when offering to tow someone is to insist that they attach their end of the rope, then have a good look at what they have tied it to.
I saw a council tranny trying to tow another in North London a couple of years ago, only they had attached to rope to the track rod. A few yards down the road and both front wheels were pointing in opposite directions.

jjsaul:
if you tow them make them attach their own rope and make them sign a disclaimer....
wibble:
my tip is that it's ok if its a mate or family but any one else... call the AA cos they'r insured for this stuff!!
glaggs:
When a friend declared he'd fitted a winch to his insurance company they made it a condition of his policey that his insurance only covered self recovery.
As for Kinetic rope - surely that would make the situation worse as the rope acts as an 'energy store' and therefore pulls with greater force - thats why 'Kinetic rope' was developed?
