Battery light comes on at full sreering Lock

I'm a bit Baffled! :?  As to why my Ignition warning light comes on when i use Full Steering Lock? Left and Right? Anyone else had this or better still know a Cure? (200 tdi Disco) :?  :?  :?  :?

had this prob last week & the belts were slack

Dont steer that far

If the power steering belt slips then the alternator can't drive, when on full lock the load on the power steering is a lot higher so it's more likely to slip.
