What to take
Range Rover Blues:
We all say you shouldn't get stuck greenlaning, but it happens to the best of us and when it does you'll kick yoursfelf if you left a peice of kit at home. Mostly, take that sense of humour, a mate with another car, patience and plenty of time for things to go wrong. Turtle and I got stuck (both cars) recceing North Notts and we just got stuck in, used nearly every peice of kit we had and jacked.dug/handwinched the cars out. Took half the afternoon and had I been on my own, I'd have had kittens.
Drive sensibly, get out and walk if you are unsure and should you get stuck, admit defeat rather than make things worse by trying to soldier on. That way some basic kit will suffice, good recovery points, strops (see yellowstrap for good'uns) that shovel from the shed, I've got waffles but TBH you need to know in advance to use them, otherwise they are best deployed as a hi-lift base. I also carry a hi-lift jacking kit, can't afford a winch, and it came in very usefull when the rope on Turtle's motor snapped. I'd advise anyone with a proper hi-lift to get one, or learn how to tie prusic loops.

I'll look into the high lift jack. But as a backup, luckily been a climber I've got the Prusic Loops to a fine art :)

so whats a prusic loop when its at home? im assuming some strong knott that can easily be untied?
may also consider carrying some loppers or saw if your on infrequently used lanes.
