There's probably going to be a few of these dumb ass questions as I have only just bought my first Landy

1st one - Having just peered through the grill on the front I noticed two fans side by side. Looks a bit like the kenlow fans I have seen advertised. But when I start the engine the large standard fan comes on straight away. If anyone has these fans fitted should they come on straight away instead of the main one.

Do these two front fans come as standard on certain models or would they have been fitted at a later time.

Sorry, a bit garbled but hope it makes sense to someone

I bet you've got Air con. ;-)

If so they will come on when your Air con does.  The Aircon has its own radiator type thing at the front of the proper one.

They are most likely the fans for the Air Conditioning.

The big one on the engine is the primary cooling fan for the engine, the small ones are electrically controlled.

I'll third what has been said already, the Aircon is your answer, you still have a big viscous fan behind the radiator (engine side) and the two fans at the front.

As you look at your disco from the front, the Aircon condenser is on the left, the Radiator is in the middle, and the Intercooler is on the right.

Yes it does have aircon. That answers my first riddle!

I would guess its identical to yours Tim being only a year older at the most.
