200Tdi ITG air filter...it don't fit!!

AHHh, that explains the problem, I wonder if the lid would fit my airbox then? probably not and I will have to make do.

you might get away with finding a new lid, or chop the lid off the old filter and see if it will fit in its own

From friend tim I heated up the glue on the old one with a bolw torch and used the end cap to hold the filter in and it worked quite well it was not until I bought my second Disco that i found as steve says that they have two different airboxes. If yours is a G-J reg then it should have the plain round filter with no cap  as the airbox has a clamp on cap where as the later k-L reg disco's have the cap as part of the airfilter.  I know that this is a long dead topic but what the hell.
